+KINDRED has become
Living Mosaic
On September 28, 2025, with gratitude and hope, the congregation of +KINDRED voted unanimously to close this chapter of our life together and begin a new one as Living Mosaic.
This decision reflects our trust that God continues to bring new life out of change. As we hear in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new.” We receive this moment not as an ending, but as a beginning.
Living Mosaic carries forward the heart of this community—rooted in welcome, shaped by service, and committed to God’s work among our neighbors.
Pastor Sue and Deacon Kinnon continue to serve as leaders in this new expression, offering continuity even as the Spirit leads us into new forms of ministry.
This new chapter grows out of a long legacy—from Salem Lutheran Church in Meyerland to +KINDRED’s ministry in Montrose, including ongoing partnership with Grace Place and care for unhoused youth. Living Mosaic continues and expands this commitment, especially in creating LGBTQ-affirming, community-centered space in the Montrose neighborhood.
All members of +KINDRED are now part of Living Mosaic, which serves as the congregation of record going forward.
