Join us as we give thanks for our bicycles and pray for joy, strength and safety on the roads, trails, and pathways we travel. Whether you ride for fun, for work, for fitness, or transportation…we celebrate what our bikes can do for us and for creation. This short 15-minute blessing is offered out of the Lutheran/Christian tradition, but you don’t have to be affiliate or religious to participate.
Gather near the big red sculpture at the park for the blessing. Everyone will receive a small gift to remind us of this moment.
Then we’ll enjoy a short ride on the hike and bike trail - open to all lever riders and everyone is welcome.
And/or pack a picnic to enjoy at the shaded tables back where we started. The event is free, but we’ll be accepting donations to benefit Freewheels - a local organization refurbishing and redistributing bikes to refugee families and veterans in Houston - freewheelshouston.org
